Applications: MOLZINC® OXI is a high-purity inorganic compound widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for its skin-protective, astringent, mild antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is commonly used in ointments, creams, pastes, lotions, dusting powders and topical suspensions. It is widely incorporated into dermatological preparations for diaper rash, minor skin irritation, chafing and wound protection. It may also function as a pharmaceutical excipient and protective agent in various topical formulations.

1 Description It occurs as very fine, odorless, amorphous, white or yellowish white powder, free from gritty particles.
2 Solubility It is soluble in dilute acid; insoluble in water and in alcohol.

5 Lead No turbidity or precipitate is produced.

8 Alkalinity If a red color is produced, not more than 0.30 mL of 0.10 N hydrochloric acid is required to discharge it.
9 Carbonate and color of solution No effervescence occurs and the resulting solution is clear and colorless.
10 Assay Not less than 98.0% and not more than 102.0% on the ignited basis.

MOLZINC® OXI is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserved in tight containers.
